The doctors and staff at Animal Care
Center, Best Care Animal Hospital and Country Oaks Animal Hospital
believe fully in preventive
health care. Our focus is on preventing disease first.
Annual examinations and vaccinations are the first step in
preventing some of the more common diseases. And with a special
focus on senior care we can provide excellent
health care well into your pet's "golden years".
Our main facility, Animal Care
Center has begun offering Ultrasound
and Telemedicine. We have purchased equipment that has the
capability of sending vital information, including lab results,
x-rays, ultrasound images, cytology findings, etc. to a veterinary
specialist via the internet. What this means for our patients is
faster results from a specialist on difficult or complicated cases
saving you a trip to a specialty clinic. This results in quicker
treatment of our patients and much better convenience for our
patients owners. It also gives us immediate access to the best
veterinary specialists around the country with out leaving the
clinic.
All our facilities have a full in-house laboratory
for use when lab results are needed immediately for sick
patients or are awaiting surgery. The doctors may sometimes
still choose to send lab tests to an outside laboratory if it is a
test that we can not do in-house, and also if the outside lab tests
are more inclusive of specific tests. Our full pharmacy keeps
your pet's medication needs convenient for you. We recommend, for
your convenience, that you call ahead for refills on medications.
This will ensure that the prescription is ready and waiting for you
at the front desk when you come to retrieve it. Also for your
convenience, we have a pharmacy here on our website. Talk about
convenient! These prescriptions are delivered right to your door
within 24 hours. The prices are slightly higher than our
pharmacy items in the clinic, mainly due to shipping costs. Please
ask a staff member if you have any questions.
Our doctors are known for their
knowledge and expertise in surgery. From a routine
hysterectomy (spay) to the repair of a torn knee ligament, you can
be assured your pet is getting the best possible care and pain
management associated with surgical procedures. Our nurses and
advanced monitoring equipment allow the peace-of-mind for a safe and
uneventful anesthetic episode. The anesthetics used are the safest
and have the least side-effects of any available. If your pet needs
or may need a surgery in the near future, ask for a tour of the
facility and we can explain what your pet can expect the day of the
scheduled procedure. Pain management is an
important part of our care post-operatively.
Dental care for our
pets is an important preventive health. Our veterinary nurses will
ultrasonically scale and polish your pets teeth while under
anesthesia. Flouride treatment will keep your pets teeth healthier
longer. Ask any of our nurses for a free dental evaluation for your
pet

No one likes to hear about pets needing Chemotherapy but
there comes a time when it may be necessary. If that time comes with
your own pet, we will do our very best to maintain your pet's
quality of life while treating the disease. We offer our clients
full knowledge of the plan for treatment and encourage you to ask
questions, as we know you will have many.
Animal Care Center,
Best Care, and Country Oaks are now offering behavior consultations
to our clients and community. We
realize how much time it can take to assist our clients in resolving
their pet’s behavior issues, so we have set aside time and space
to do just that. A
behavior consultation takes approximately one to one and a half
hours, whether in our office or as a house-call.
During a consultation, we will assess the pet’s behavior
issues and establish a retraining plan with the owner.
Our goal is to correct inappropriate behavior and encourage
positive interactions between pets and people.
The full array of available services can
not be covered here. Rest assured, we can help you with any health
concern or problem your pet may be experiencing.
